financial crisis and it looks like individualism is becoming the order of
the day. What about the people on this earth who are actually starving? A
lot of people including some in your own town are actually on the
breadline and are having a tough time trying to scrape together enough to
live off. Many of us are so busy to even think of our own problems let
alone the problems of others.
This is why the good work of NGO and other associations matter so much
today. To show our support, why not head over to Barcelona and show your
support at the DJs against hunger festival in Barcelona (festival DJs
Contra la Fam). This great festival has much on offer from electronic
music to visual arts. Previous editions of this festival have seen as many
as 33,000 people turn up with over 100 different artists from all over.
The proceeds of this year's festival will go to help those facing problems
with drug addiction and Aids.
This is more than just supporting a fine cause; it's your chance to spend
an amazing day dancing to the music of the best DJs. As well as great
music there are many workshops and art shows in which you can participate
in. If you come you'll be guaranteed a fun time in the sun where you can
meet new friends who share the feelings for this cause.
The festival will take place as usual in the Mercat Fira de Bellcaire (Els
Encants Vells, Barcelona) and there will be 2 main stages, a resting area
with hammocks. Don't forget the Feria de Entidades and the SHOWCASE PACAS
(C/Dos de Mayo Free entrance) where you can browse the non lucrative
stands or take part in one of the many workshops. You'll drown with
pleasure in this cool pool of electro sounds provided by the best DJs on
the planet : The Pinkertones, Vicknoise, Filastine Dj set, Monoculture,
Absent F, Goldfinger Crew, Institut Fatima, Toni Rox Dj, Alex Martín Dj,
Ultraplayback ,Sendo A.K.A. Dosem, DJ Search, Special Guest Djs, Black
ICE, Burning Ladillas, MCMX and The Oddviser.
Tickets are only 10€ with all proceeds going to good causes. Why not take
